1- don't let him take things that fit through the bars on to the balcony
2- watch him and get the items from him before he has a chance to throw them over
Even with the *rules* Scott is tricky. Somehow last weekend he got all of these items over the side.
The list includes:
*1 sand mold
*1 of dads diet Dr Peppers (full)
*1 string cheese wrapper
*2 water bombs
*1 teething penguin
*1 bowl
*1 sand sifter
and of course WHILE I was taking these pictures, Scotty came up to the railing and I decided to snap a picture of him. Right as I took the picture I noticed the Infant Tylenol in his hand and hurried to take it from him... TOO LATE.
What a naughty little Scotty. ;)

Oh believe you me, this is NOT new for Scotty. He was taught by the best: Grandpa Ritter, Geoff, Brooke, and Jack all throw things off of our deck. I went down this spring to clean up and found DOZENS of things I thought were lost. Another thing. It doesn't have to fit through the bars. They eventually learn to chuck it up and over. My advise, Get lots of ice. Not as fun, but you don't have to clean it up.
